I dont see anything wrong with what he said. I just became a member and very much enjoy the atmosphere. btw alabama state law doesnt reconize gay unions or marriage so that might be why he was asking
I’m a member at that place. Good people and I’m glad he upholds the law.

I just went tonight and had a very unprofessional experience with the worker. I used to be a member with my family, we canceled family membership and I was planning on joining on my own but tonight I just went as a guest with my friend. I signed in as a guest and in the middle of a workout he came up to me and told me I was not allowed to be a guest since I had previously been a member and immediately asked me to leave. He was by far the rudest person I had met, being extremely condescending and smart with me. I told him I did not know the guest policy and every other gym in the area allowed for ANYONE to come as a guest whether or not they had been a member and that I had been considering rejoining and would not repeat this “breach of contract” again. But he continued to be rude. There were 2 other people in the ENTIRE gym. I would have understood if he told me not to return as a guest after the night but telling my friend they could stay and telling me to leave immediately was just beyond professional. I used to have respect for the gym and was going to re-join but after my experience tonight I do not recommend anyone joining unless you want to have the owner having a personal grudge against you after you end your membership at the gym.
